Be one of our Champions for a Cure

 Hope for a Cure 2.0:

On behalf of A Cure for Sophia and Friends, I’d like to say THANK YOU to the over 300 supporters that helped us fund our second drug repurposing study with Everlum Bio!   Your generous support during our last fiscal year has also allowed us to assist one of our worldwide partners, Cure MCOPS12, with initial funding for our biomarker study.

However, we need your help to continue to the next phase of research!  Biomarkers are imperative to further study as they are utilized to show measurable characteristics of the body that are signs of normal or abnormal processes, conditions or diseases and are typically a requirement before beginning a clinical trial which would be the next step after our drug repurposing study is complete.

In addition to our biomarker study and further development needs culminating in a clinical trial or off-label use, we are anxiously planning our first in-person MCOPS12 patient conference in Montreal, Canada in the summer of 2025 with our researchers at CHU Sainte-Justine.  Since MCOPS12 families are spread throughout the world, the travel expense is significant for many families.

We would like to fund a portion of the conference costs so as many families as possible can join us to learn directly from our top researchers, share feedback and increase patient knowledge while further defining potential treatments that are meaningful and beneficial to our MCOPS12 patients.
